No, I wasn't wearing a wig, this is not a wig.
I named it the "Daphne's Barbie Hot Hot Pink Hair"
The name chio right? Haha.

So, everyone has been asking about my coloured hair.
I didn't recommend the salon I went to because I wasn't happy.
In short, they used bad quality hair dye and simply did it for me because they were busy.

I went to Singapore with my girls last week.
I just thought that I should give it a try at Salon Vim.
I went to the branch at Somerset 313 (just so you know, there's another branch in Bugis).

My first thought was very "typical Chinese".
"Waaaaaa, so big one ah this salon"
20 hairstylists and 2 receptionists, what do you think?
Every single one of them was occupied and busy, was constantly doing things.

I was warmly greeted.
One of the directors of Salon Vim, John showed me the colour chart.
He suggested me to keep it purple.
I was really "guai lan", I insisted that I want PINK!
My first choice was Cotton Candy Pink but I didn't think that it was possible.
Ass itchy, changed my mind to Hot Hot Pink.
I was thinking it's going to fade anyway, then it will be soft pink.
I'm greedy, I want to have both hot and soft pink!

So, let the journey begin...
They did treatment for me before bleaching.
I haven't been to a salon that does treatment before hair dyeing.
It's time consuming, it's troublesome. They are mostly money minded.
Just want to do it quick and easy, get money, send customer off, that's it.
Very impressed with that.
Then, they started the bleaching process.
In the previous salon, they just brushed/applied bleach all over my hair and even my scalp.
The hairdressers at Salon Vim carefully applied bleach without reaching my scalp.
Sorry for blur picture because I was too shy to get my camera out to snap a picture, lol.
I just used my iPhone.

My hair colour had 3 tones - black, dark purple+blue, light purple+grey.
The colour of my hair was totally uneven.
So, John had to bleach the top first, then the middle, and the rest of my hair.
My newly grown black hair was bleached and the purple colour was washed out.
Then, the hair dyeing process started.
3 stages again, top, middle, end part of my hair.
WHERE GOT HAIRSTYLIST SO PATIENT 1?
I felt so bad because my hair was so damaged and tangled up.
The comb got stuck 20times per minute, lol.
It was dreadful drying and combing my hair.
Thank them for not giving up on my hair.
I did their signature 3 steps haircare expert treatment with steam.
Now you touch my hair, your hand will slip off, LOL.

So honoured to have the founder and director of Salon Vim, mr.Gary to cut my hair.
He complimented that I speak good English, I like him, I'm totally not biased, haha.
He's a very funny guy and of course very very very professional.
I overheard him teaching his junior hairstylist about hair colouring.
"How do you cover copper colour?
What goes well with this?
What is the colour code did I just use?"
If I was the junior hairstylist, I would probably shit my pants.
I felt scared for him but thank God he got it all right.
I haven't gotten my hair trimmed since forever.
Once, an Aussie hairdresser gave me a bad fringe cut, then I had phobia cutting my hair.
Gary fixed it for me and yeh, I'm back to having bangs.

They also gave me caretrico Privy products!
I started using them last week, probably talk about it in my next post :)

John, Stephanie, yours truly and Gary!
They are so sweet, they gave me the sweetest card ever.
*dramatically shedding tears* I'm moving to Singapore now.
